Traveling in Thailand for many years finaly brought me to Chiang Mai
and I meet a couple of very nice Thai people. Most Thai people i have
met is nice but in Chiang Mai I found what I call truly nice people.
I stayed here now for 2 years 6 months 2005-2006 - 8 months
2006-2007 - 3 months feb-apr 2008 and coming back in october.
Chiang Mai have everything I like. Hotels that give you a nice price. And if you do as I do try to rent by month you can find price between 4000 THB - 7000 THB/month.
Many nice restaurants where you can eat a nice meal for a resonable
price. Lots of nice bars, resturants and pubs where you can listen to
live music almost every nighy of the week. Most of them is what I call "jamming
places" where you can bring your voice and sing a song if you like or your
instrument and join the band. This is for me the ultimate musical
experienc and I am back.

| Do your hotel have WiFi ? or you have to sneak out in the middle of the night and borrow surf time? |

When you search for hotel guesthouse hostel bed & breakfast or room you get suggestions from the search engine about the big and expensive hotels and a lot of booking sites witch can bee annoying and even if you know the name of the place it can be hard to find.
In Thailand they use many different names. Places for long stay are often called court residence or apartment.
A hotel normally has staff at the desk 24 hours many guesthouses also have 24 hours personnel available. Court Residence an apartment has staff on site during the daytime and a security guard in the nighttime. |
